Lean Six Sigma Black Belt i.o.
As project manager Lean Six Sigma at the Dutch Production Companies of one of the biggest pallet producers in Europe, I am responsible for the identification en execution of several projects, in the context of "Continuous Improvement".

Lean Management and Six Sigma methods and tools are a significant part in the way problems are defined, solutions are identified, developed and implemented.

Plantmanager Pallet Production Company
As plantmanager I was P&L responsible for FHG Phoenix Pallets, 80 FTE, Turnover € 22 MIO.
We achieved to turn around from severe loss to a reasonable profit, despite the very difficult market circumstances.

Consultancy & Interim company sep 2008 – feb 2011
Several Interim assignments:

Director Planning & Logistics with timber producer in Cameroon
Company’s characteristics: About 1350 FTE, of which ±20 expats.
I had the responsibility for the implementation of a new logistic concept, based on LEAN principles

Manager Operations with major international (timber) trading company
Company’s characteristics: Typical family company, Trading Company with own production unit
I was Responsible for the daily operations in the Supply Chain.
In a time-frame of 10 months we've re-organized all the operational activities. Herewith we have designed a complete new logistic steering concept.
The results of these changes were phenomenal: Strong increase of reliability to customers, strong improvement of the correctness of our stock and much less complaints of customers.

My mission was to develop and implement a planning and monitoring tool for the entire process
Having this done in 2 months, a Lead Time decrease of 50% was established and the mistakes in purchase specifications had dropped down with 80%

Zydante was a small producer of Project Furniture, mainly hotels and bungalow resorts
I was responsible for a successful new start after bankruptcy.
Our suppliers helped us with restarting and they proved to be loyal to our company.
During the restart we've changed a lot of procedures with less inventory and a shorter lead time as results.

Manager Operations Edel Tapijt BV
In cooperation with the Commercial Director, I was P&L responsible for the whole organization.
After some difficult years of restructuring we had invest again in the organization by improving sales and developping new products.
We also had to deal with an overcapacity of our extrusion-line. In less than 2 years I have been able to sell this free capacity of 90%.
We achieved to improve our results with € 4 MIO within 2 years

Manager Logistics
By restructuring and centralization of the supply chain we reduced the amount of people involved with logistics from 13 to 5
By doing this it appears much easier to control the workflow and inventory, also lead times got strongly decreased en reliability significant better.

I was responsible for the development, implementation and certification of different Managementsystems: ISO 9001; ISO 14001; OHSAS 18001 en VCA*
