Mijn dromen en ambities
Gustavo received in 2012 a Ph.D. in 'Map-based decision support tools for collaborative land use planning' from IVM, VU University Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He also holds an M.Sc. degree in Geoinformatics from the University of Twente, ITC faculty, the Netherlands, (2005) and a B.Sc. degree in civil engineering from the UIS, Colombia (2000). He specializes in the the integration of GIS, SDSS, PSS and geo-instruments for collaborative spatial decision-making, focusing on sustainable and environmental planning. His profile can be summarized as:
• Advisor on the use of GIS and Spatial Decision Support Systems for multidisciplinary collaborative and sustainable planning
• GIS expert and environmental scientist with strong analytical and statistical skills
• Experienced in setting up geospatial data models for customers and projects
• Experienced in remote sensing: image processing and analysis
• Familiar with user communities, multi-disciplinary teams, and different clients
• Oriented towards problem-solving and timely delivery of results of high quality and accuracy
• Strong interest in bridging scientific knowledge and real planning practice
