I am a very driven person in all I am and all I am doing. Never give up and try to combine this with a human aspect; no individual result is better than the performance of a team. Find out what motivates people and help them to run that extra mile, to step out of their comfort zone. Try to get them to the next level; personally and for the company as a team.
I believe that nothing is impossible, as long as we all have the same goals and understand why we strive for these set goals. This is how I like to work and run my position within a company. Sharing the right information makes my team act with the right motivation and with passion. Keeping 4 simple questions in mind: Where are we? Where do we want to go? How can we accomplish that and always keep in mind: Why… And dear to ask what do we want to accomplish today?

2013 - 2015 European Retail Manager Patagonia, Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Job description: Ensuring that the elements comprising Patagonia's Mission Statement and Core Values are consistently communicated through the Retail Stores, Partner Stores and Pro Shops. Successfully develop the European retail development strategy including owned and partner store. This includes hiring and training high quality personnel, establishing and maintaining effective store merchandising, maintenance and customer service policies, conducting profitable business, and establishing and maintaining effective communication with Patagonia Global. Reporting to the International Sales Director based in Amsterdam.

Job description: Responsible for the start-up and development of the sales, marketing and distribution strategy of the brand within the Benelux. Successfully achieved a total business turnover of 9 million euros. Managing and coaching a team of 4 persons at the Head Quarter based in Amsterdam. Managerial and Organizational Experience
2013 – 2014 Project leader new Store Concept development – Patagonia, Europe
Activities: Responsible for the creative translation, planning and implementation of the new Store Concept in Europe. First roll-out: Cortina d’Ampezzo, leading to an officially acknowledgment of founder and private owner of the company Yvon Chouinard.
2013 – 2014 Organizing International European Strategy Meetings – Patagonia, Europe
Participating management: Board of Directors US, Board of Management Europe.
2013 – 2014 Start-up local Sales Office and Head Quarter – Patagonia, Amsterdam
In addition of the position of European Retail Manager responsible, on special request of the reporting Sales Director, for the start-up of the local sales office of Patagonia in Amsterdam.
In 2014 the brand decided to transfer the Head Quarter from Annecy (France) to Amsterdam. Within the process asked to take care of the start-up period because of personal business network (project team set-up and location sourcing).
2009 – 2013 Initiator of CAT (Commercial Awareness Team) – Peak Performance, Sweden
Activities: Analysing, identifying and integrating business opportunities of the brand, focused on product development. Main goal: improve the brand’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) among her customers.
2005 – 2013 Start-up and expand local Sales Offices – Peak Performance, Amsterdam
The brand needed to be built-up from scratch in the Netherlands. The opening of the first local sales office, based in Amsterdam was seen as the roadmap for expansion in Europe. Due to the local business success of the brand opened-up a second sales office in 2003 in the Sport Business Centre in Leusden.
2004 – 2010 Opening Peak Performance Mono-Brand stores – Peak Performance, Benelux
Stores the Netherlands: Almere, Amsterdam, Groningen, Hilversum, Laren, Maastricht and Nijmegen. Stores Belgium: Antwerpen, Brussel, Gent and Leuven. At the same time not feared of taking the decision to close non-profitable stores.
