As a BU manager I started the Dutch location which means, from finance, towards quality of
the delivered services, HRM and commercial aspects. I had a full P&L responsibility for the
Dutch location, which had to be built. I hired the team and made succession plans with them
to let the Dutch location grow. Velocitas is a company which focuses itself on business
development. Mainly in the B2B industry, but always for service driven organizations.

As a Team & Organization Development Manager, I had 3 main focus areas;
- Recruitment: Making the recruitment plans and budget every year and checking those on a monthly basis. Focus area on recruitment was HBO/WO graduated persons, from BENELUX, UK and DACH region. Performance measurement on the used tools for recruiting and select the most proven ones. Contact on regular basis with stakeholders and direction about the progress of the recruitment plan and discuss if changes need to be made. Full responsibility of the assessment days together with management and contract negotiations. Main focus area; hire on personality not on skills only. Skills can be trained especially by recently graduated students. It's all about having the best people on board who understand the DNA of the company and fit in this DNA. We did not do this by letting them making personality tests, just by asking the right questions and dig deep during the interviews and read people verbal and non verbally.
- Talent Development: Full responsibility of 25 employees on a yearly basis, make succession plans and challenge them to develop themselves for more commercial/marketing or HR positions within the organization. Which means developing on a individual basis but also by expanding and innovating the existing management development program. Yearly appraisals and training them on the job and giving them feedback inmediately. Which includes also exit management if they will not develop.
- HR Related business: HR administration, Illness management, ARBO coordination etc.
